Eligibility: The referred friend (“referee”) must be either a new Dime Bank customer or a current customer who does not already have a checking account. Existing customers opening an additional checking account are not eligible. The referring customer (“referrer”) must have an existing relationship with Dime Bank. Customers may earn referral bonuses for up to six successful referrals per calendar year (maximum $150).
Referral Bonus Qualification: Both participants accounts must remain open and in good standing throughout the three-month qualification period. Referral bonuses are paid within 30 days of the qualification period completion. During the qualification period, both the referrer and the referee must complete one of the following qualifying activities:
- Maintain an average balance of $500 in any one of the three reviewed statement periods. Average balance is calculated per statement period.
- Complete 10 or more posted transactions between account opening and the end of the third full month after opening. Transactions include posted credits and debits, excluding fees and service charges.
- Receive $250 or more in Direct Deposits in any one of the three reviewed statement periods. Direct Deposit amounts are aggregated per statement period.
- Set up autopay for a Dime Bank loan, with at least one automatic debit occurring during the qualification period.
